Top 7 Fashion Shows at Milan Men’s Fashion Week 2025

With 16 shows and 45 presentations, Milan’s 2025/2026 Autumn/Winter season comes to an end, and here are our favorite collections.

With only three major fashion houses showcasing runway shows, Milan Menswear Fashion Week shines a necessary light on independent and rising designers. Though Prada, Giorgio Armani, Dolce and Gabbana came through with killer collections, ones from Pierre-Louis Mascia and high-fashion streetwear very deservingly stole our attention. Here are our 7 favorite shows during Milano Menswear Fashion Week.

TOP 7 LOOKS PIERRE-LOUIS

The first runway show of the week entitled ‘Bright Star’, Pierre-Louis Mascia's menswear and womenswear collection started off with a bang. Bringing elegance to the idea of maximalist dressing, the collection included forty looks. The details, intricate patterns, and intentional layering technique reinvent the idea that fashion is meant to be risk-taking. Inspired by the Victorian era and Italian Renaissance, the French designer goes beyond ready-to-wear pieces, including black lace layered under artistically innovative patterns and handbags, to flowy and ethereal silks paired with structured handbags to compliment.

TOP 7 LOOKS PDF CHANNEL

THIS is how you bring streetwear to the runway. With a bold color palette and trendy, yet progressive silhouettes, PDF Channel’s runway debut is a successful execution of using the younger audience to progress fashion forward. Domenico Formichetti’s runway debut shows the impact and success of showcasing rising designer brands to shed light on collections catering to youth culture. Designing the collection inspired by 90’s streetwear and movies like Baby Boy, Menace II Society, and Boyz n the Hood, Central Cee, Formichetti not only brought luxury streetwear to the runway but also introduced conceptualizing art created by POC to create opportunities and invite culture outside of European or Italian origins to luxury runways.

With the cosign from Hip/Hop artists like Travis Scott, Drake, Lil Yachty, and Central Cee, PDF understands the importance of keeping your ear to the streets and catering to young consumers rather than alienating them due to pricing and accessibility.

Top 7 LOOKS DOLCE & GABANA

On a red carpet runway, Dolce & Gabbana’s menswear collection titled ‘Paparazzi’ stays true to its timelessness while adding detailed flairs with furred collars and bold floral brouches. The Fall/Winter Collection showcases the harmony of tailored classics alongside timeless denim in one’s wardrobe. Leopard print, one of the most popular Fall/Winter trends in 2024, crosses over into menswear on pieces like coats, sneakers, and hats. With a majority grey and black color palette, the collection features timeless tailoring accented by satin vests and bowties. Including classic winter staples like wool, tweed, and leather, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbanaook took inspiration from their golden Dolce Vita era. As the fashion industry is faced with a consumer desire to bring it back to the basics, Dolce adds a modern twist with sixty-nine looks that can take you from a casual outing to a red-carpet appearance.

Top 7 LOOKS PRADA

In fifty-six looks, Prada confirmed two new fall menswear trends: fur collars and tapered pants! In contrast to many other luxury houses that favor the wide-leg pleated fit, Prada explores a more laid-back silhouette to bring attention back to the top. With majority of looks including this tapered leg, it brought attention to the top of the look, creating, a harmonious balance with the other elements of the collection. The use of bright stripes, furry collars, and multi-colored leather contradicted many traditional styling rules. Instead of adding the satin on top, Muccia adds a pop of color to the bottoms, drawing attention away from the torso. This strategy incorporated in a fall/winter collection might just be a genius move, as luxury’s slowdown has forced many designers to experiment and think out of the box. The many colorways of plaids and stripes, in combination with the knee-length coats and bright tapered pants, add a playful yet sophisticated aesthetic to menswear. While traditional suiting dominated many collections this season, Prada’s brown and multicolored leather suits added excitement to the trend that if repeated too many times in one season, can quickly get quite boring. Designer, Miuccia Prada in collaboration with Raf Simons designed the collection to be an act of much-needed resistance and signal of hope during difficult times. The power of simplicity, with bold details and a few minor risks, goes a long way.

Top 7 LOOKS GIORGIO ARMANI

Unpopular.. not so unpopular opinion, Emporia Armani’s complex collection runs circles around Giorgio Armani’s. But we’ll get into that later. The color palette mostly ranges from grey, navy blue, charcoal black, and charcoal brown. Even with limited color, the additions of pinstripe, wool, and plaid added tasteful details to the quiet collection.

While ideally a simple collection, the money is in the details. Curved collars on double-breasted blazers instead of the traditional sharp ones and elastic waistbands on pleated trousers offer new takes on previously loved silhouettes. Like Emporia Armani’s collection, many pieces, from scarves to trousers, were made in shimmery velvet finishes. Pops of color of ruby red, emerald green, and royal blue on tops and jackets were little treats amongst the fairly neutral counterparts. Shimmery finishes on scarves, trousers, and matching blazers elevate classic pieces into an almost celebratory fashion. Waist-length leather jackets, utility pockets, and intricate scarves add modern touches to what we all appreciate about bridging the gap between formal and casual wear. While it may be elevated suiting, many looks were casually paired with bucket hats and ribbed beanies. The most exciting segments of the show? When the runway turns blue a quarter through the show, and we’re graced with a mini-collection featuring ski wear. Also, the final looks of the show when male and female models walk alongside each other similar to bridesmaids and groomsmen during a wedding. While we all know our favorite of the two shows, we applaud the designer for pulling off two killer shows in one day.

Top 7 LOOKS Emporia Armani

As a fashion editor-in-training, I’ll shamelessly admit that this is my first introduction to an Emporio Armani collection. I went in with no expectations or previous collections to compare it to, but my jaw DROPPED at the first look, which was a sage green three-piece suit accented with a layered chain perfectly curved alongside the vest. Underneath, a classic white button-up and a tucked black tie. Following the opening act, the same exact look, except this time black, but the clasp is curved on the model’s right side. Following, an almost see-through gold metallic long sleeve tucked into brown velvet trousers. I would gladly love to describe every look in its full, beautiful entirety, but none of us have to time. In short, the jaw-dropping looks just kept on coming and coming. Similar to Giorgio Armani’s show, which happened in the exact same day, the show featured a segment dedicated to heavy-duty ski wear with a color palette consisting of purple, sage green, and lilac-like grey. “To seduce is to draw others in, to captivate.”, taken directly from Armani’s YouTube description of the page, couldn’t have put it better. While still effortlessly sophisticated, this collection embraces the idea of captivating a crowd and being noticed. While many men's ready-to-wear collections stick to a formulated design style of potentially blending in, Emporio Armani’s collection is sure it will not get lost in the crowd.

Top 7 LOOKS DHRUV KAPOOR

An innovative collection exploring the ways to blend Indian tradition and modernity. With PDF, we saw the success of bringing streetwear to the runway, yet with Dhruv Kapoor we can expand on this phenomenon by adding different cultures to that conversation. Another rising designer getting its well-deserved shine during Milan’s quiet season brings diversity to fashion design, allowing stories to be told globally. Showcasing co-ed on a dark, plaid runway, the collection’s minimalist approach with an added statement piece, whether floral embroidery or contemporary silhouettes, adds a perfect balance between culturally driven pieces and modernity. Of all the collections showcased during Milan’s fashion week, Dhruv Kapoor offers the most exquisite blend of ready-to-wear(leaning further to streetwear) and craftsmanship.

Whether a global fashion house or a rising designer, Milano Fashion Week offered excitement and a beacon of hope to what the future of men’s fashion could offer despite the absence of many major designers. Prada’s determination for resistance and PDF Channel’s incorporation of hip-hop culture is a case study that shows that while the world is moving progressively forward, so is fashion. Shining light on younger designers who will soon be wearing creative director hats at luxury fashion houses or becoming major luxury houses of their own, Milan Fashion Week is the haven for discovering the next-up.
